"You won't believe the top Xbox games of the year! Hellblade 2 and Ubisoft's XDefiant are taking the gaming world by storm!"
Anything from our list of upcoming Game Pass games usually has a very good chance of making it into the top 40 of our gameplay charts thanks to the increasing power of Xbox Game Pass, but the latest Xbox gameplay chart shows Hellblade 2 jumping straight to the top five just days after launch .

The top five in our gameplay charts don't usually show too many seismic changes thanks to the enduring popularity of Fortnite, Minecraft, Call of Duty, GTA 5 and the like, but this week saw some big changes.
Fortnite is still first, but Minecraft has moved up to second, dropping Call of Duty to third, while just below it we see Hellblade 2 debut in fourth with Ubisoft's free-to-play shooter XDefiant right behind it in position fifth.
It will be interesting to see how both perform next week: multiplayer games (especially free-to-play ones) typically have a longer shelf life in our charts, but Hellblade 2, despite being a shorter single-player game, also ranks highly. on our list of the upcoming Xbox exclusives we're most looking forward to.
Just below, GTA V rose two places to eighth while Forza Horizon 5 rose three places to 12th, possibly due to the recent Horizon Retrowave update.
Then there are the many games that make the list, including Fallout 76 (some Fallout Games saw an initial surge in player numbers after the TV show proved to be so good) and recent excellent (but shorter) Game Pass additions like Little Kitty, Big City.
Starfield, meanwhile, which saw a 72% increase in Xbox players after the 60fps update, has now dropped three places to 23rd. Then there's Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, which continues to decline.
The game also saw some improvements after joining Game Pass Ultimate, but this week it dropped to 25th place. But it's still great, and we've got plenty of reasons why you should play Star Wars Jedi: Survivor!
Magical FPS Immortals of Aveum, which joined the top 40 for the first time in last week's chart after joining Game Pass Ultimate, has moved up one spot to 29th, while a little further down we see two comebacks this week with Black Ops II at 38th and Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice.
The announcement of Black Ops 6 likely explains the return of Black Ops 2, while the launch of Hellblade 2 has likely increased player numbers for the first game.
The sequel was met with praise, and Sean had a lot of good things to say about Senua's Saga: Hellblade II review ! Finally, there's Another Crab's Treasure, which barely dropped out of the top 40 after launching onto Game Pass last month.
